Biography
Masayo Hirano , Soprano
Japanese soprano, Ms. Hirano made her debut in Europe Italy as MIMI “La Boheme” at Citta De Licata Treatro Comunale”Re” in 2013.
In 2014 , She performed Japanese Opera ”Tohi Ho”, opera which commemorate 400 year anniversary of the first Japanese diplomatic envoy to Europe in Keisei era (1613) at New National Theater Tokyo. She also gave her solo recital at Tokyo Opera City Hall in 2014.
In 2016,She debuted The Japan Opera Foundation “Il Viaggio a Reims” conductor Albert Zedda with Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra ,and debuted Fujiwara Opera”Carmen” with Japan Philharmonic.
Her remarkable performance as Elizabetta in “Don Carlo” with Kansai Nikikai Opera Foundation on October 2014, was highly claimed by Asahi News (Asahi Shinbun) “Ms. Hirano’s singing and acting were impressive to express Elithabetta’s beauty as well as dignified inner strength.” Mr.Hideo Tojyo(critic of Opera) praised “Her Aria was superb and exceptional”
Ms. Hirano performed in many opera with The Japan Opera Foundation ,Fujiwara Opera, Kansan Nikkei Opera Foundation, Sakai City Opera, Mikawa City Opera, Kawanishi City Mitsunaka Opera, Kawachinagano City Opera, Sendai City Opera, Hiroshima Opera Renaissance, Opera Tokushima, Nobeoka Opera, and Osaka College of Music Opera in various roles including Mimi, Aida, Cho-cho san, Turandot, Tosca, Violetta, Elizabetta, La Contessa, Donna Elvira, Fiordiligi, Magda, Ellen Orford, Julietta Etc.
In concert, she has appeared as soprano soloist in Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony and many kainds of concerts with Osaka Philharmonic orchestra, Osaka Symphony orchestra, Kyoto Symphony Orchestra and Kansaki Philharmonic Orchestra.
She was awarded Music critic club prize of for title role Aida in “Aida”with Mitsunaka opera, Mitsubishi UFJ Music prize as Ellen Orford “Peter Grimes” with Osaka college of Music Opera and Mitsubishi UFJ Trust Music Encouraging prize for title role Turandot in “Turandot” with Mikawa City Opera.
Ms. Hirano received her Bachelor’s degree form Osaka Collage of Music; she has studied in England and New York as an Artist of Japanese Government Overseas Study Program for Artist.
